Coastal Pacific train to Christchurch
The Coastal Pacific train runs daily until May 5, 2024, then pauses for a winter break, resuming its service on September 19, 2024.
Located in the heart of town, Picton Railway Station provides easy walking access to the town centre and ferry terminals. The Interislander Cook Strait ferry connects with the Coastal Pacific for an easy onward journey to Wellington.
You can buy tickets for the Coastal Pacific at Picton Station on the day of travel, but we strongly encourage you to book online in advance. Standing is not allowed, so if all seats are sold out, you will not be able to travel.
Coastal Pacific Check In
- Arrive at Picton Station from 10am onwards for Check-in
- Collect Boarding Passes and Luggage labels from ticket office
- All wheeled bags, large backpacks, and suitcases will need to be taken to the Luggage Carriage.
- Check-in closes 20 minutes before departure
